An eclectic forum for your research – ‘Articles’ on the Limerick Local Studies website

The word ‘eclectic’ tends to be overused and, indeed, is often misused, but we think it applies perfectly to the small but perfectly formed and gradually growing ‘Articles’ section on the Limerick Local Studies website. Topics so far include a biographical study of a Limerickman who was an important figure in the Austrian Imperial Army, a look at the importance of Limerick as a Famine-period port, a history and survey of Limerick’s great rowing tradition, and a look at a Limerick cleric who played an important role in helping Daniel O’Connell to initiate his mass rallies in the 1840s.
