Music Collection

Limerick has a very rich tradition in music, which is well-represented in the library’s extensive Limerick music collection on CD.

From the folk and singer-songwriter works of Mick Hanly and Johnny Duhan to the operatic singing of Suzanne Murphy, via marching band, jazz, traditional Irish, rock, and hip-hop, the full range of musical expression has been practiced to an expert level by many Limerick musicians and singers and groups over the years.

The music collection is held at the City Library at Barrow House, Michael Street.
