A significant event for nationalist feeling in Ireland was the funeral of the Fenian, O’Donovan Rossa, which took place in August 1915. Here we present the full souvenir booklet which was produced at the time of the funeral.

Limerick has many important links with the 1916 Rising and these were commemorated in a programme of events and activities in 2016. Two of the sixteen leaders executed after the Rising were Limerick men, namely Con Colbert and Edward Daly. Tom Clark of Dublin also had close association with Limerick, his wife, Kathleen, being a member of the renowned Daly family of Limerick.
